The Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade Olubuse II, will tomorrow be inducted as the grand patron and chairman of the Advisory Council of Ife Business School (IBS), Ile-Ife, Osun State.
The event, which will be held at Oduduwa Hall, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, will also feature the inaugural lecture organised by the school on “Leadership Delinquency and the Pursuit of Poverty,” which will be delivered by Professor Pat Utomi, the Director of Lagos Business School and former presidential candidate of African Democratic Party (ADP) in the April 2011 general election.
Speaking at a press conference organised to mark the inauguration of the governing council and public presentation of IBS Journal of Business Management and Development, the Director-General of the school, Dr Ademakinwa Adereti, advised the Federal Government on the need to put in place the right structures to eradicate poverty in the country, adding that previous programmes aimed at eradicating poverty failed because of lack of necessary structures to put them in place.
Dr Adereti called on Nigerians to support President Jonathan for the realisation of his dream, warning that any attempt to sabotage Jonathan’s efforts would spell doom for the nation.
