Osun FA congratulates Grays, ILA FC, Ajiroba

OSUN State Football Association under the tutelage of Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi has congratulated the trio of Grays International FC of Ede, ILA Orangun FC of ILA and Ajiroba Ooni FC of Ile-Ife, for clinching promotion to the Nigeria National League.

Grays, ILA and Ajiroba promotions from the Nigeria Nationwide League were confirmed at the just concluded Nigeria Football Federation Annual General Assembly.

Speaking with Journalists Skippo as the former Secretary General of the NFF is fondly called by his admirers stated; ''I will like to use this medium to congratulate our clubs which secured promotion from the Nationwide League (Grays, ILA, Ajiroba and Olorunda United); it is a remarkable feat for football in Osun State. I will implore all the clubs not to lose steam or let the promotion get into their heads, they should put more efforts as the new league season is about to kick off for them to achieve more laudable feats.''

Four clubs from the state will compete in the National League in the new season namely Prime FC of Oshogbo, Grays, ILA and Ajiroba.

We are grateful to God that the game of football is developing in the state; and it is a pass mark for Osun State Football Association in the year 2011.”

The Fiwajoye of Edeland commended the financiers of the clubs and also advised the clubs to ensure they recruit best legs so that they will be able to keep the flag flying so that the area of winning at all cost syndrome will be whip out, citing that a battle is won in the field of preparation not in the field of battle.

“I want to appeal to these clubs to recruit best legs in the National League so that by the end of next season we will have at least one team in the Nigeria Premier League; this is how we are measuring the progress of football in the state.”
