Omisore harps on religious harmony

Governorship aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore has called on Muslims and Christians in Nigeria to remain united to fast track national development.
Speaking at a lecture organised by the National Council of Muslims in Iwoland on Sunday, the governorship aspirant recalled that the South
West is a liberal society where Muslims, Christians and traditional worshippers relate and cohabitate in harmony, adding that, “we should continue this tradition of peace and unity for collective development.
“The two holy books teach peace and we as adherents of the religions should follow the path of good neighbourliness and godliness. By so doing, we will strengthen the bond of unity among our people”, he said.
The lecture titled “Islam and other Faiths” was attended by leading Islamic leaders from the various local governments in Iwoland.
